Fender 1973 P-Bass, this one is "Player" grade. What does that mean? Simple, collection grade instruments are to hang on your wall or keep for show, with occasional play,  all original in excellent cosmetic condition. A "Player" grade one is one that has been out on the road, it is the one with the cosmetic imperfections, that has had a bit of repairs an so on due to a life of on stage work.  
This one in particular is NOT an ALL original, the finish is, the neck is, the , the guard is, the pickup is a 78 or 73 (have trouble seeing the numbers) and the knobs are new.  It also has double set of screw holes, I guess either the original ones were stripped or someone put a different pick-guard on it at some stage. 
This girl is a bit on the heavy side, but has massive tone, the maple neck gives it some nice bright metallic overtones. 
If you are looking for a great vintage bass that will not break your bank and you can actually take to a gig, this is it.  Just a bit more pricey than a NEW American Standard and about Half the price of a Custom Shop, and guess what? neither of those are 40+ years old.

Un fender P-Bass de 1973, este es en calidad "Player". ¿Qué quiere decir eso? Sencillo, los instrumentos de calidad "colección" son para tenerlos colgados en la pared o en alguna vitrina, se encuentran en condiciones cosméticas impecables, son originales al 100%, y se tocan poco. Uno calidad "player" es uno que ha estado trabajando siempre, es aquel que tiene imperfecciones cosméticas y ha sido reparado en algunas ocasiones debido al desgaste del uso constante. 
Este particularmente NO es TODO original, la pintura, cuello, cuerpo, potes y golpeador lo son, la pastilla es del 73 o 78 (me cuesta algo leer los números), y las perillas son nuevas. También el cuerpo tiene doble juego de agujeros para el golpeador, esto probablemente porque se habrán barrido los originales o porque alguien le puso otro golpeador en algún momento. 
Es un poco pesado este bajo, pero tiene muy buen tono con un timbre un apenas metálico gracias al diapasón de arce. 
Si buscas un bajo vintage, que no te deje en la quiebra y que te puedas llevar a un bolo, este es. Un poco más caro que un American Standard y aproximadamente a la mitad de un Custom Shop, y ¿sabéis algo? ninguno de esos dos bajos tienen más de 40 años.
